So, what I thought would be a catastrophic ditch diving event, turned into a nothing burger. A loud bang, the cab tilted to the right a little, and a flat-flap-flap noise which grew louder as I slowed down and pulled into an empty parking lot. Other than the noise theatrics, the truck drove straight as an arrow with zero swurve and loss of control. Of course, if you over-react, your results can...

    Our home was built brand new. But my parents didn't live to see the sloppy plumbing work from the house to the septic tank. The "plumber" didn't feel like buying a curved pipe section... so he used two feet of old fire hose. Dad would've said "get a rope".😅

    • @HelicoolsHelipad
      @HelicoolsHelipad 5 днів тому

      @@wendydeprey9314 display the flag how best you see fit. As for my retirement flag, I like the symmetrical stars that are facing straight up, and not angled off to the left or right (depending on the orientation of how the flag is placed in the box). That is my preference. This is not a video on how to properly fold a flag, but a video on how to display a flag in a display case that looks aesthetically pleasing. I thank your dad for his military service.

    The first one is homemade tomato juice. It separates that way--looks exactly the same when freshly canned and good. The solid bits just sink to the bottom. You shake up home canned tomato juice before serving. Of course, since you don't know how old they are, you wouldn't risk them.

    Corn relish? Even current tomato juice separates. The jar with the strand could be a mistake while canning or? Down on your luck? Ask yourself: Edible versus eatable...? As long as still sealed, should not kill you, I think. I remember seeing a beautifully sealed canned jar of fruit about 50 years old. Would I eat it? No. Could I? Another question.

      My dad who is 96 years old baked a blackberry pie from canned berries. This was in the early 2000's. After tasting the pie, I said, "What the hell is that?" I found the jar and it was dated 1974, and apparently, my Grandfather, who passed away in the late 70's, picked and canned them. It tasted like dirt, but it did not kill me. :-D
